short fiction

What’s wrong with fucking? My girlfriend says she sees nothing wrong with it, as long as it’s done with passion and lots and lots of foreplay. 'I like to be ready,' she says, 'and when you move in so fast I can’t get it ready too.' I take this as advice, suggestion, notification, an address, a demand: Don’t fuck me until I’m ready to be fucked.

Okay.

So one morning I wake up and Veronica rolls over and finds out I’m up. She crawls on top immediately, and I go, 'Hey, what are you doing? I thought you had to rev it up first.'

'Shut up,' she pants, and this tells me she’s been awake a while, waiting on me.

I would go on here, but for purposes other than what the aforementioned appropriates, I’ll say that my job really sucks and I want to get out.

There. And to think that I was actually trying to be inane.
