Friends, this is a cute story for children. Thanks. |
| Welcome dears. Today, let me tell you the story of a small boy and his magical paintbrush. Amit was a boy about four years old living in New Delhi. He was very fond of observing things around him and making their pencil sketches. Soon, Amit’s Dad got admitted to a good school where he began learning how to colour his sketches with crayons and draw their borders with sketch pens. Now, he felt himself promoted to the higher realms of art. So far, he had been making only pencil sketches of different objects. Now, he could make them come alive with colours. He was happy! As Amit got promoted to senior classes, his arts teacher began to teach him newer methods such as watercolour painting. It was at this juncture that a very interesting thing began to happen in Amit’s life. One Sunday morning, he had just finished drawing a beautiful rose. And he was feeling proud of his creation. Little did he realize what interesting things were about to happen! As he mixed red and white to get the right shade of light pink and began applying this colour mixture with his paintbrush, magic began happening. As he finished colouring the rose and got up to look at his creation distance, he found the painted rose slowly detaching itself from the drawing sheet and acquiring the fullness of a three-dimensional object before his startled eyes! Lo and behold! Within a minute, his rose had become a real thing: beautiful pink petals, beautiful shape and beautiful fragrance to match. What an astonishing sight! And yes, when he next painted a leaf with that particular paint brush, an actual leaf glowing in life was the result! Amit understood that his previously ordinary brush had come to acquire magical powers: whatsoever it painted came to life at once. The frightened boy decided to pack up his drawing set for the day and try painting an apple with this extraordinary brush the next day after returning from school. His brush produced the same miracle: his painted apple turned into its actual counterpart! Now, Amit was a firm believer in God. Every morning, he used to watch his father offering homage to God at the family altar. Plus, he had repeatedly learnt in his storybooks that God was the source of everything on earth. He, therefore, reasoned that this astonishing power present in the paintbrush also belonged to God. So, Amit went to the family altar and with deep reverence, he placed his paintbrush there. Then he silently prayed, “O God, please take back Your divine power from this brush and restore it to its original state.” Then he went about finishing his homework and revising his mathematics paper: his mid-term exams would begin shortly. Amit had placed his paintbrush at the worship altar on Monday evening. He kept it there all through the night, and the next morning, he took it to his school. In the drawing class, his teacher assigned a steel glass kept on a table as the object of painting for the class. Amit quickly copied the object in his drawing notebook and then began painting it with his “magical brush.” To his intense relief, he discovered that it had become an ordinary paintbrush once more. Ah! What a relief! He was so deeply grateful to God. Yes, prayer always wins. *** Goodbye darlings. See you with another story soon. Goodbye and God bless. *** |
