More brilliant than the brightest star,

Your light is

Blinking,

Winking.

Like a lightning bug in a jar.

Life has swept its net on high,

And tumbled you from the sky.

Confined and trapped,

Your strength is sapped.

Your hope has fled,

For you have bled,

Upon the alter of despair,

Before Fate’s lie and its snare.

Yet, your moment of defeat will fade,

For, of strength and courage, you are made.

Your darkness shatters with your cry,

As through the murky glass you fly.

Once more to shine before the world,

Your dreams before you, all unfurled.
