often obscured
lost in plain sight
just beyond

Until cutting through
a moments grief
immortalized
in song

Leonard Cohen and
Bob Dylan as one
freeing new spaces
inside

Where lost in
the maelstrom
alone disavowed
— the best of ourselves tries to hide
