A lonely isolated man fighting for his life, and sanity, discovers he is not alone

On that square, filled with people
He watched, he listened, thinking they are all sheeple
It is always the same, repeating sequel

He missed the church basement with the towering steeple
It wasn’t the same, so much had changed
On that square, filled with people

Felt isolated, alone, sitting watching home
The fears, anxieties, would not leave him alone
It is always the same, repeating sequel

The Covid pandemic locked down everyone, in their homes
The laughter and tears, chit-chat and shares
On that square, filled with people

Just wasn’t the same, on that zoom AA
Feeling estranged and mourning in person AA
It is always the same, repeating sequel

Fearing the drink or going insane, he finally spoke, shared his pain.
That’s when he realized, he was never alone
On that square, filled with people
It is always the same, repeating sequel
