renewal imagery...
If the sun goes down in Central Texas,
No worries, since what's coming next is,
A twinklin' little, happy, starry sky...

The night provides a soothing message,
For all the hard-baked earth in Texas,
To cool the jets where sleeping doggies lie.

Then slowly, as the morning rises,
The lone star sheds its night disguises,
Uncloaking wildflowers, glowing in the sun.

The fog retreats at sun's persistence,
Banishing clouds into the distance,
Trumpeting, a new day has begun.

When the stars go out in Central Texas,
No worries, since what's coming next is,
A sunny little, foggy, morning sky.
