My name is Jen Maki. Ever since reading Tolkien at the age of ten I've wanted to become a writer. My life has rarely been easy, but my goals were always the same: marry, have children, be published. A year-long stay in Romania changed my health forever and, though I am married, I cannot bear children. I am now thirty and have successfully broken into print as a freelance reporter for several Saskatchewan newspapers. It remains my dream to have my short stories or novels in print.
