The constellations are out of position

I think I should see Venus and an asteroid,
Based on a mirrored reflection of starlight
Into the lens of this high-tech thing
That I don’t understand.

I’ve been fascinated in a childhood planetarium
By the things in the sky, an archer, a bear,
A big bang, an ancient expanding universe.

In the present the vastness is determined
Not by what it is but by what can be said about it.
In my secret quiet mind outside the world
I don’t know
What myself would tell myself.
