God, Please Save a Wounded Soul

God, please save a wounded soul!
You have seen all his strife to survive.
He has been wild like a young foal,
Running and bucking just to stay alive.

Abandoned! They were supposed to love him!
Abused! Outcast! Trodden under the foot of men!
Adopted! Loved by others who died before him!
Feeling abandoned all over again in the end!

Determined to make it on his own! Grew into a man!
Struggled to make ends meet and getting lost in sin!
Forced into a religion of wickedness, witchcraft, Pagan!
Using dabs, self-medicating to erase all the pain within!

Angry at the God that created and gave his life!
Broken, bitter, burdened, communicating with demons!
Trying to manipulate reality and alleviate strife!
Lost and blinded by sin and rejecting God's son!

Have mercy oh Lord and open his heart to you!
Open his spiritual eyes and let him see with them
Help him to forgive, forget, and carry him through.
Let him repent and sing to you a beautiful hymn.
