A plea from fur-babies to humans

When I come to you for shelter on a rainy day
Please don’t push me away.
If I’m wet, shivering, my paws slip on the way
Please don’t push me away.

I may meow, or bark, even I’m scared of the dark
Remember, I’m a life too, not a toy to play.
So please don’t push me away.

Give me some milk, a bone, or a bite to eat
After a long day, that would be a real treat.

Please don’t hit me, don’t show me human laws
At the end, I’ll thank you with grateful paws.

Stroke my fur, cuddle me, give me a place to stay
You’d find a faithful friend at the end of the day.
