A story about a girl with a visual impairment

She takes in her surroundings. As she enters the building, a few people stare at her. Others pass by and thankfully ignore her.

When people look into her eyes, they notice the tremors and ask why they shake so much.

Others target her with cruel statements.

But despite the teasing, she tries to ignore them and move on with her life.

They have no understanding of the trials and tribulations she has overcome. They relentlessly tease her about a physical characteristic that is entirely beyond her control. Because they fail to understand, they mock and ridicule her by default.

In her classes, she struggles to see the board. So, her teachers advise her to sit up front. Some do it out of kindness, some out of impatience.

Thankfully, she makes it to college. She may have struggled through it all, but after six years, she’s finally made it.

Now, she’s a successful writer.

God has gotten her through it. He gave her the purpose to inspire others that despite their disabilities, they can overcome whatever obstacle they may face.

Everyone is equal in value.

She may not be able to control her condition, but she won’t let it control her.
