The shadow that walks beside me, walks despite me, walks inside me.
I try to hide you, to bury you, to sprinkle the world with such a strong noon shine, that you’d be underneath my feet, defeated.
In a day cycle you stretch, ebb, and flow, and in all seasons you find your times. We’re forever attached.
But you know what, you, it’s only in the light that you can be created, and so I face sunward and upward.
You will not defeat me.
