I tried to write a poem about what bipolar disorder feels like.

Corkscrew blue, pounding
Right into my ears
Tack, tack, tack:
There.

Black and blue moody hue
I feel you now
Crack, crack, crack:
I’m not gonna.

Bathe in it, Greek springs
Melancholy spirit ring
Fix, fix, fix:
Me.

Please.
Please.
Please.

Beat me down, crystal clear
Beat me down, murky mirror
Beat me down, almost here.

Bathe in it, asylum tub
Joyful flesh-tone stub
Fix, fix, fix:
Me.
