Fake kindness

Short text about how I feel about kindness

We all naively believe that human kindness truly exists in this world, but as time goes by, I realize more and more that it is nothing but smoke and mirrors.
Every human being, without exception, performs a good deed with a specific purpose in mind, whether they are aware of it or not.
Some do it to please a divine figure and secure a place in a hypothetical paradise, while others seek only to ease their conscience.
Would we still be as kind if there were no reward and no one to judge us, or would we allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by our animal nature, acting solely to satisfy our own self-interest?
