A Land of Ideals: Our Veterans’ Hope

Thinking about our world and the veterans who fought for our freedom - a poem.

Our brave and needy veterans
Must continue to further
The accountability
Of our foremost citizenry.
Scarred vets of past, present, and current
Scenarios - those true warriors so embattled
and soon-to-be
Enlightened by our caring, concern, and vision -
Will doubtlessly feel inspired -
To seek a new nexus in verve
And a glowing, subjective aura…
A meritorious model of authority
Less taxing and humbling;
And much more gratifying and triumphant -
The greatest gift to every generation
Is the honored treatment
And restoration of our awesome service men
And women’s deserving souls…

Against the backdrop of freedom’s highest peaks -
The status of enduring national pride.
Recapturing the dawn of America’s
Supreme and natural horizon.

Relying on resiliency, reciprocity, togetherness,
And acceptance;

A mental and physical shape and tone

The survivors of the most grossly cruel battles

These highly at risk populations
In such horrible situations

The current administration refusing
To let the nation’s visionary status
Be denied;
Celebrating the strength, commitment,
And valor of this free society’s
Prosperity, pride, and dignified scope
This time of year amid the current era’s
Dark and deathly situations
And horrific episodes
Of mental distress and bitter, vile hatred. 

The service men and women
Whose tremendous sacrifices
And courage have enabled us
To enjoy all of the freedoms
And privileges of this great
And proud land! 

Struggling and eventually attaining
Peace, health, joy,
And happiness -
As America’s leadership sustains
That appreciated and valued search
For global respect
And harmony;

Ending deadly wars
And hundred’s years conflicts -
And uniting the nation’s allies
Against those heartrending nuclear ambitions
And self-serving reclamations
Of imperialist retaking
Of sovereign, regional nations
Which they view as their rightful territories…

A terrifying truth for The Land of Ideals
And Inspirational Leadership
To try to contain and admonish -
Through appropriate military thinking
And bold, prolific might…
