| The Jack in the Box - an unofficial sequel to the Boy Who Laughed at Santa Claus Remember the naughty kid, Whom Santa Claus outdid? Santa Claus turned him into a toy, And he gave it to the child to enjoy. An accident suddenly occurred; it was tragic. Santa Claus said then, “Come on reindeer, let us make magic.” He knew he had to give the boy a second chance. So, he decided to change the unfortunate circumstance. “Boy, I will change your back, but your rude behavior is not dismissed.” “Because in Heaven you are missed”, For the parents in Heaven were missing their child, Though his ill behavior drove them wild, They remorse what they abandoned, So, they asked the Lord if he could be pardoned. The Lord answered, “Teach your son the way of a good mortal.” “Then I will send you back through the portal.” They consented. And promised his behavior would be chastened. Thus, in the world they did return. To the boy who made others churn. The naughty boy changed all his ways. And, acted like this for the rest of the days. The neighbors rumbled. Yet, rest assured, they were not troubled. They knew things would be different. So, they chose to be reverent. Everything ended up swell. Nothing terrible stayed to dwell. |
