The things we don't say.

I’m not sure why I like you
And I’ve done this before
A hundred different people
And a couple more
I’m not sure why I like you
Perhaps it’s in your smile
Or maybe the things
Hidden in the miles
Every mile that runs
Between you and I
Every mile that hides
The things you can’t quite call lies
The things you don’t tell me
Even if you wanted to
It’s the things that you don’t tell me
That I wish I never knew
I overanalyze and pay too much attention to
The things no one says
The things they never knew
Like the way their eyes go soft
And their breathing slows
Whenever they hold onto things they’re used to letting go
The way your mind may run
When you hear the songs I sing
Or maybe why you’re gone
Every time your phone *ding*
