Why I couldn’t finish my NANO WRIMO Novel |
| This is Task 2 of "26 Paychecks " And everything I write here is about "Reflection Of Life" I was more than twelve years younger when I first started writing this, I think maybe somewhere around 2009-2010, or maybe even earlier, I don’t really remember now. NANO WRIMO was the excitement, and I really wanted to be part of it, I had never written a Novel before. So, the excitement began, I was penning down around 2000 words a day back then. Here in WDC, they had this place called “The New Horizon’s Writing Academy.” Many of the yellows, blacks, purples and blues taught a wide variety of courses there. I had enrolled into a few courses, including a NANO WRIMO workshop, to prepare for November that year. That is where I learned techniques, resulting in this half-finished draft. However, back then I didn’t even finish high school, and studies took up most of my time, naturally! So, even if I wanted to, studies and ailments prevented me from completing this. This thing was supposed to be a Novel (that’s what I still intend to turn it into). A novel, set in Bangladesh, circulating around family and teenage love. I also wanted to talk about Bangladeshi festivals and tourist spots here. However, I didn’t get many reviews on this, which is essential for me to edit properly. Also, someone, perhaps a yellow here, said that the characters are too good to be true. I wonder, is it really so? My dear WDC members here, can help me with the title, it seems a little too common. Also, help me with character development and smoother flow. Also, how may I make it more interesting for the international audience/readers? What else would you wanna know about my country? |
