"The gift of God to this enlightened age is the knowledge of the oneness of mankind and of the fundamental oneness of religion. War shall cease between nations, and by the will of God the Most Great Peace shall come; the world will be seen as a new world, and all men will live as brothers."

"O my God! O my God! Unite the hearts of Thy servants, and reveal to them Thy great purpose. May they follow Thy commandments and abide in Thy law. Help them, O God, in their endeavor, and grant them strength to serve Thee. O God! Leave them not to themselves, but guide their steps by the light of Thy knowledge, and cheer their hearts by Thy love. Verily, Thou art their Helper and their Lord."

You might not believe in ghost stories, but…

Ghost Stories

You might not believe in ghost stories, but they are out there. Ghost stories make their appearance most often at Halloween parties to frighten the party goers. Ghost stories are fun to listen to, to tell, and to write; as long as one doesn't get too big of a fright. The imagination can be a friend or a foe, it can frighten you or make you think.

If you don't leash your imagination it can be your foe. It can take you through a frightening skating rink, and if you don't question everything you think. Ghost stories are fun to tell, as long as you take them with a grain of salt or a couple of jalapeño popper with a little ranch dressing or maybe some tartar sauce. Don't let your own ghost stories frighten you, it's always better for them to frighten the ghost, protagonist, or antagonist in the story. Keep writing and telling stories about ghost, and you will be the Halloween host with the most ghost stories.

When telling a ghost story, don't begin with "Once upon a time" unless your telling about a haunted castle. Try to place your ghost in unexpected places, such as a ranch style house, to make to make the story either more or less believable. Avoid clichés and cliché locations, to make your ghost story memorable and unboring. Halloween is coming so write and tell ghost stories to your heart's content. Make Wednesday, October 31, a ghost story telling day, and remember to write your stories down because you will need them again next year.

Happy Halloween!
Don't let your ghost stories be too frightening.

Snow on the mountain;
autumn days pass into winter.

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 2172
Start your entry wit "In the midnight hours..."

The Midnight HOurs

In the midnight hours when the body is asleep the soul is free to roam. To traverse the realms of space and time. To looked to the future or across the planet. To explore the world of other stars and galaxies. To look into the gravity well of faith and see spiritual reality. And, when the sleepless body lays staring into the darkness, to intone a prayer of gratitude for the opportunity to commune with the Almighty Creator.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise prompt for Day 179
“The real hero is always a hero by mistake; he dreams of being an honest coward like everybody else.”
― Umberto Eco, Travels in Hyperreality-
Are heroes cowards inside? What do you think?

Heroes

I don't think anyone, is a hero by mistake. People become heroes because they find themselves either at the right place at the right time, or the wrong place at the wrong time. People become heroes because they do what they have to do in difficult situations. People become heroes in accordance with God's will because they find themselves in a situation where their voices or strength is needed; it is never a mistake when someone becomes a hero.
