Nicely done!
I can see how crutches can be demons. When I had to, after foot surgery, I opted for a cane. Luckily, I healed fast.

I hate crutches, they make my armpits and shoulders both hurt. And I've almost fell down the stairs trying to navigate with them more than once.

That's so funny. It's also true of cats. My older cat won't climb up but now that our kitten does, he's been climbing and exploring places he never did before. Sometimes they just need the right incentive.

People here in the United States were warned about climate change years ago. Our Vice President in 1993, Al Gore, was an environmentalist. He talked incessantly about the issue warning something needed to be done to avoid destroying our planet. People laughed at him denying there was any such problem. He was right, they were wrong. I need to answer this prompt if I have time today. Have a good one!

59 years is incredible.

I can't imagine a love that intense either. And I'm very much in love with my husband. It's my second marriage, we've been together 20 years and married 16 years. If I had foolishly stayed in my first marriage it would have been 50 years. I left him before our 30th.

I've read a lot of his sonnets and wondered the same thing about the woman. I didn't realize there were 100 of them Kåre Enga going to Montana

that's a lot of mushy stuff.

I’m not involved in GOT Lyn. I have surgery next week and will be missing in action fora week or so. I just reviewed Lilly’s contribution last night.

There are different types of love. Her in the western colony we obsess with romantic/sexual love. The sex, however, must never be directly shown; we're cultural prudes.

Neruda wrote 100 sonnets for his future wife.

Summer fun

PROMPT July 13th

Write about your favorite summer activity.

It’s the middle of winter here so Summer seems a long way away. However my husband who is 77 had a sudden desire to re-enact our younger years. He bought a ski boat. Forty or more years ago we used to take our young family water skiing at every chance we had. Hubby would call me and say “ I’m finishing work early, go get the kids out of school.” And often we’d go to the river early in the mornings and cook breakfast and ski.
Anyway last summer on his insistence we became the proud owners of a ski boat once again. Each weekend he’d send out the call to children, adult grandchildren and great grandchildren, “Let’s go skiing this weekend,” he’d suggest. But everyone is so busy these days. Great-grandchildren have sport or birthday parties. Or someone is having to work. Whatever it was, the boat went out once only. Much to hubby’s disappointment. He didn’t grasp he was no longer in control, he couldn’t just believe because it was such a beautiful day that everyone didn’t answer the call and drop everything. It’s been a bit sad really.
However the good news is the boat is going to be taken on a family camping holiday at Christmas. There is one very excited man in our house.
