Nicely done!
I can see how crutches can be demons. When I had to, after foot surgery, I opted for a cane. Luckily, I healed fast.

I hate crutches, they make my armpits and shoulders both hurt. And I've almost fell down the stairs trying to navigate with them more than once.

That's so funny. It's also true of cats. My older cat won't climb up but now that our kitten does, he's been climbing and exploring places he never did before. Sometimes they just need the right incentive.

People here in the United States were warned about climate change years ago. Our Vice President in 1993, Al Gore, was an environmentalist. He talked incessantly about the issue warning something needed to be done to avoid destroying our planet. People laughed at him denying there was any such problem. He was right, they were wrong. I need to answer this prompt if I have time today. Have a good one!

59 years is incredible.

I can't imagine a love that intense either. And I'm very much in love with my husband. It's my second marriage, we've been together 20 years and married 16 years. If I had foolishly stayed in my first marriage it would have been 50 years. I left him before our 30th.

I've read a lot of his sonnets and wondered the same thing about the woman. I didn't realize there were 100 of them Kåre Enga in Udon Thani

that's a lot of mushy stuff.

There are different types of love. Her in the western colony we obsess with romantic/sexual love. The sex, however, must never be directly shown; we're cultural prudes.

Changing places

Hi, sorry I’ve been missing for a week from 30DBC. I managed to knock myself out and land in hospital for three days. I fainted in the bathroom and hit my head on the toilet. Broke the seat and my head, giving me a good dose of concussion. Still feel permanently drunk. Hopefully it won’t last too long.

PROMPT July 24th

If you could switch places with one other person, who would it be and why? What in particular would you do?

I can’t think of anyone I’d like to swap places with. One never knows what anyone has going on in their lives. What may seem ideal, wonderful and perfect could be, and probably is, just a front.
Someone told me something I’ve always remembered. If you, your friends and acquaintances sat around in a circle and threw all their problems into the middle and you could take any you liked, you’d soon grab your own back.
Having said that, I gave it some more thought. Royalty? Not a chance. Movie star? Too much pressure, notoriety and exposure. If I really had to choose, it would be with someone who saved people’s lives, someone like a surgeon. There was one in particular I’ve always admired, his name was Fred Hollows. He saved the sight of thousands of people in third world countries. For a $25 donation to the Fred Hollows Foundation you can save the sight of a person. How amazing it would be to be someone like him?
