I know this pain all too well and I know exactly how you feel. It is extremely difficult to put on a brave face when dealing with the handling the death of someone so close to yourself. Having to go through all of his belongings, deciding what to do with what, is not a task I would not wish on anyone. It is painful and seems to take forever. However, there are a lot of good memories in those belongings and it is those memories that are a person's immortality. So long as you remember him, he will live forever in your heart and soul.

It will be an uphill battle but you will do what needs to be done. From what I have read of your blogs, you are far stronger than you realize.

One step at a time is all you can do. It has been seven years since my father passed away and we still have not moved all of his belongings anywhere. It's just too painful to do so. I and so many others know your pain all too well. Hang in there.

Monday night frustration.

I hope my day goes better than last night. My dear son decided that mom was to bend to his needs and wants. The worst part was had he done as I asked I might have been more flexible to do as he was asking. The poor boy dose not see that I am not asking much but the little I do is to help both of us. I know he does not smell the smells of the house when he leaves things in the sink for days and they get water sitting in them. I come home having to open the house up because I can smell the stuff then ask him to go take care of his chores. He the refuses saying it is all in my head. I don't know how to get through to him about this issue we are having. I can take all his stuff away and though saying he is bored will find something to do so he dose not face what I need him to do. the worst part of that is I only ask him to do 2 things. dishes and garbage. That dose include cleaning up after himself to ensure his mess dose not have garbage in it.
