What I love and adore about poetry is when it can transport me to a romantic thought of my own...When I can feel something and this makes me dream big time and I have poetry like this. Emotions are strong my only suggestion would be to edit the line spacing, I think you could do with less and still have the same effect.

This sounds like an opening line to another vampire movie. What is going on is just a descrption but what is missing is the emotional pain that comes with this kind of fearful talk, something seems to be missing but I don't know what it is..it's like you disconnected from your words. I say it's a great try but I bet you can do better, keep working on it.

What the heart can never do is plan well! When it loves all good intentions go flying out the door. I think everyone can relate to this horrible fate of reality. We knew best that pain likes company. I get that loud and clear in this poem and also such an empty feeling of acceptance. Why do we treat ourselves so harshly for our emotions? We have growing pains but this one is very hard to read. I get it. Empty is really standing out in this poem for some reason. Maybe you have something else here and I am missing it. Not sure. What happens when it ends? It's not simple to go on and repair the broken feelings and damage done to the psyche. Sometimes we are strong and other times we will never be. It's all in balance in our heart. I only have one suggestion I am not an editor but your present tense seems to be off some, I believe it should be look what happened now? Okay, so I shouldn't be laughing but really....Do you even think woodpecker's have lips? I lost a huge tree a couple years ago and everyone thought I was crazy because I was sad. It is sad to lose a part of our yard. To see nature brought down to her knees. It reminds us that nothing is forever and we don't like that kind of reminder. Don't you think they should know how to stop this? It sems so insane that it can keep pumping so much oil out and they haven't found a way to collect it? It blows the mind. I wanted to start my journey here and I am glad I did. I knew this was going to be beautiful and brutal to read. It was almost 70 years ago, well shy by a few but still. It's like the echo is still ringing true. To lose so many young and still make the impact of freedom. It's an amazing accomplishment and defeat. What a moment to share with a father. I tell ya, I can so relate! Love has been kicking my butt my whole life too and I Love and adore LOVE! I need it like some kind of sick puppy! It captures my attention and my dreams. I have been on a ship like that once before. I am still a captive to my fairytale endings and make belief romantic fantasy. I started to believe that was bad, but it's not. Only some one that has truly experienced a deep depression can understand the complete numbness of living. Of hiding in the mind and forget all about logical thought.
