Heavenward

His smile-
Captivating,
Taking me heavenward.

Ignited
In me a new wish
To know others better.

His words-
Gentle, charming,
Polite and compassionate,

Inclined me
To be considerate
To reach out, to understand.

His ways-
Genuine, convincing,
Rational and uncluttered,

Molded me
To be uncomplicated,
Prejudice- free, open-minded.

His love-
Steady, unchanging
Ceaseless and forever.

Taught me
To feel, to share
The delights of love, of life.
