GG-2: Cut the Cake!

The rules to cutting a Looking Glass cake - pass it around and then slice it. Write a story or poem where everything appears to be done backwards. (<500 words) or (<40 lines).

with jammies on, it's time to wake,
and lay down in our beds,
we'll work until our loud alarm,
then prop up sleeping heads.

at breakfast time we'll have meatloaf,
for supper, ham and eggs.
we'll take a mud bath to get clean.
we'll shampoo both our legs.

We'll give our sweethearts tumbleweeds
instead of roses white,
'cause down is up is turned around
is dawn is noon is night.
