The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ![]() I believe it can go both ways and there are scriptures to support that. Paul, for instance, prayed to be healed of his "thorn in the flesh" and God told him no. God's grace will get us through most situations. Then there are some where God instantly heals. My parents are both deceased and the rest of my family ignores me. I live about three hours away so I guess I don't blame them. I also was a drug addict for years and I think they think I still am since they are never around me. I am a responsible, productive part of society today. In fact, I am starting a halfway house for veterans. My business associate says we are ready to start seeking grants.
