Deep Inside Me

Deep Inside Me



This life, this love
these words and deeds,
feelings, thoughts, imaginations
throw me into a whirlpool
of never ending attachments
and relationships that break
and form like the primordial
amoeba multiplying for no real
reason or a purposeful mission.


Deep inside me, hidden away
in the labyrinths of my hapless soul,
in the dark reserves of my heart
lies dormant the secret I know that
holds the key to eternal happiness.
I wait for the embers to burn bright
and let the warm glow thaw


the frozen consciousness, make me
aware of the enshrouding ignorance
that traps me in a thousand bonds of
tenacious texture, awaken me to shed
the shackles, find the release from this
glorified prison of illusory life


in a single vision
of impartial, unparalleled, divine Love.
