Faith
This poem is written for prompt 10 of "Promptly Poetry Challenge (2025-2026)" . Prompt: Write a poem a minimum of 12 lines inspired by the word Faith."
This poem can be read with "Faith" being both upper and lower case F/f.
Softly soothing
but not removing
the Band-Aid from my heart.
With her, I feel
my wounds, surreal
healing begins to start.
Temperamental
and accidental,
her love, it does depart.
But still I hold
as Faith becomes cold.
Healing and change is hard.
