No blue wave yesterday,
today is quiet chaos.
I want to jump ship
slither from my human skin
rustle through the sawgrass
walk on my belly
become venomous.
Everglades pythons
suffer no anxiety.
So here I lie
wallowing in the mud
grasping for the sky.
