Blessings of the wild
I drove into work this morning and went through a small town where there was a dead dog by the side of the road. I imagined the owner had a horrible day today and I was saddened by that. I think how many times my boy tried running in the road...though I am not the owner of him, I am responsible for him and his safety. He is his own person, but can not be trusted to make safe choices. I recently put a fence around my front yard so he has some sense of freedom, a place to roam. Of course, my taxable value went up 14K, go figure. That is something I should have had help paying for because of the need for safety. No matter, it got done.
My son and Wife spent the night in the camper last night. Ya, me! I didn't even change my routine and was in be by nine. Yes, I have become olden in my ways. Spell check doesn't like my word, too bad, I say.
As I write this, deer are right outside my window! I don't usually see them during the day here. I like the wild.
