Take the Plunge.
Oh the beauty of Niagra Falls. New York! New York! as sung by the incomparable Frank Sinatra. What a voice.
And now my opinion of this prompt?
I have been to this tourist attraction in New York. My mother's family lived in near there and wanted to give us the trip that would be unforgettable. The day was windy and a little cloudy. There were plenty of people but we did not see any 63 year old teacher getting into a barrel. I am a teacher, retired and would not do that. I guess I am ahead of my intended answer. But we got wet. And we had a nice time. Our host, my mother's great uncle was all smiles when he saw the look on our faces.
Since then I have read that there is a lot of water going down Niagra River that connects the two great lakes. (Lake Erie and Lake Ontario). And no one in their right mind would want to swim there. Actually it is prohibited. More than 5,000 bodies have been found at the bottom. I choose to not be 5001st body. There might be animals in the area but they know what they are doing.
I prefer to enjoy the beauty of New York and the company of family. My tour also consisted of a tour of where my mother went to nursing school in Rochester University. As another treat, there is a find program for deaf students, NTID, that I could recommend to students who were in my class. (I worked/taught the hearing impaired.)
Do you see how easy it is for me to get off topic. No I am not ashamed of that but must warn you that if you want to read more of my work, I might do it again.
So the answer I will not take the plunge in a barrel, waterproof boat, or frog suit. And will I ever go back for another visit? That is for time and luck will decide.
And here are a few things I will not do:
1. Jump off the Empire Building with a parachute
2. Go in a mini-sub to look at the Titanic on the ocean floor
3. Ride on a rollercoaster with my eyes open or closed
4. Swim across the English channel
5. Get married again. Once is enough.
