Children's clothing section

Last night was a relaxing evening,
Lisa and I even sat down to do some embroidery, Something we haven't done for a while but we wanted to make a Valentine's design to present to each other on Valentine's Day,

One other thing was Melissa asked Lisa to phone Heather to let her know that the theme for Valentine's Day was to be 'St Trinians',
That had Alessia smiling because that meant games, Naughty Games,

Alessia and Catherine were happy and refreshed after a good nights sleep and they actually seemed excited going to work, that was definitely a first,
It normally took them till morning break to get going,

My morning break was interrupted by Andrea who wanted me in the clothing department ASAP,
I had a few jobs to do first then made my way to see Andrea,
Andrea was pleased to see me and explained that her assistant wasn't in again,

She took me over to the children's section,
I hadn't had much to do with that area but she asked me if I'd tidy it up then go and see her,
I started putting things back in their rightful places,
I was actually taken back to when I was very young and first started wearing girls clothes when I told Lisa about my femininity,
There were pretty colourful knickers with various motifs on them and frilly strapped vests,

I was remembering Lisa getting underwear from the drawer to give me to wear,
In fact there were plenty of items on the rails that took me back to those days dressing up with Lisa,
As I carried on tidying up the section I came to the school uniform area,
My immediate thought was Valentine's Day and St Trinians,
I'd have to go through all my clothes to find things to wear,
I had a white blouse but I hoped I still had my short black pleated skirt, anyway that was something I could look for at the weekend,

I finished tidying the rails up and found Andrea in the stock room,
"Right Susie I've had a delivery of girls underwear that we need to sort through",
I soon realised the sizes were different,they were sized by age, 7/8, 8/9 etc,
"Andrea this is going to take me a while to get used to the sizing",
"Oh you'll be Ok its quite straightforward",

Of course she was right, how could you mess up age 7/8, 8/9 etc,
I was getting through the boxes when the next one was older girls items,
Cropped tops, knickers and starter bras,
Again I remember the first bra I wore,
I was about 13 and it was a memorable moment, I felt I'd become a real girl, Feeling the straps and the band slightly pulling into me,
I was overwhelmed with joy wearing my first bra,

Andrea came and rejoined me to help sort through the boxes,
I had a concern,
"Andrea, what happens if a customer wants a starter bra for her daughter and asks for my assistance?",
"Yes Susie you've got a point there,
I think if you've got an assistant be polite and tell the customer you'll get someone to help",
"And what if I can't find her?",
"To be honest in all the years I've worked in this department I've had 2 mothers ask for assistance,
Most know what they want so don't worry too much",

Andrea and I finished sorting through the underwear and were pleased we'd done a good job,
"Susie do you know a girl that could maybe come and work here?",
"Maybe why?",
"Because my assistant has become unreliable as you've found out today",
"I'll see if there's anyone suitable",
"Thanks Susie",

It was late afternoon so I went back to my office, made a cup of tea and sat down,
Because I'd not had lunch I decided I was going to sit here until finishing time,
With 15 minutes till finishing time Catherine joined me,
"Alessia's having to work over again",
"Oh not again, I want to get home",
Catherine fiddled through her handbag and pulled out a tampon then dissapeared to the toilet,

I just thought there's no hiding the fact she's on her period,
Catherine returned with Alessia so we could go home
