The End of the Week

I chatted to Lisa regarding my promotion to becoming Manageress and she thought it would be better not to say anything to the girls just yet and suggested I tell them tonight when we had dinner,

At work this morning it was slow, I'd done everything I needed to do so decided to go and spend some time in the clothing department,
Colette was pleased to see me and I got another hug from her,
It was nice to see her so happy, she was beaming with happiness,

Colette was sorting some bra and knicker sets out,
They were for Valentine's,
They were silky to feel,
There were black ones with red hearts and white ones also with red hearts,
"Susie",
"Yes",
"You'd look nice in these",
"Colette",
"Well you would",
I could feel myself blushing,
I'd only known her a short time and she was telling me I'd look good in some underwear,
Anyway we sorted them out ready to put on display,

Morning break was upon us,
"I'm going for a cuppa Colette",
"Ok I'll tell Andrea we're going",
"Shouldn't one of us stay here?",
"No Andrea's here and she'll have her break when we finish ours",
"Oh Ok",

We headed off for our break and I veered off towards my office,
"Where are you going?",
"To my office",
"No come to the canteen with me, I'm buying",
We reached the canteen and Colette got us a cup of tea,

We sat chatting and Colette told me she was going to celebrate tonight because she'd got her pay rise,
"Will you celebrate with your boyfriend?",
"No I don't have a boyfriend",
"A lovely girl like you without a boyfriend",
"Yep",

There was a shout from the doorway,
"Hi Susie",
"Hi",
It was Alessia and Catherine,
They joined us with their drinks,
"Is this your new girlfriend Susie?",
"No don't be silly",
"Well who is she?",
"Colette, she works in the clothing department and I managed to get her a pay rise and she's not leaving now",
"Hi Colette, I'm Alessia and this is Catherine",
"Hi",

I sat chatting with the girls mainly about the weekend,
"Hey Colette have you got a boyfriend",
"No",
"NO,, Why?",
"Because",
"Alessia leave her alone",
"I want to know,,,,,Because what",
"I don't like boys",
"Alessia you're embarrassing her, stop it",
"Are you a lesbian",
"Maybe",
"Watch us Colette",
Alessia leaned over and started kissing Catherine,
"Get yourself a girlfriend Colette and you'll get to have some Velvet",

The end of break arrived to the relief of Colette,
"I'll see you girls later",
"Bye Susie, Bye Colette",
"Bye",
"Take care of Colette Susie, don't do anything we wouldn't",
Even I was embarrassed and blushing,

We arrived back in the clothing department and headed straight for the stock room,
Colette leaned on a table with her head in her hands and was tearful,
"What's wrong Colette?",
"Everything happened so quickly and I sort of blurted out I was a lesbian",
"Don't worry about it, it's done now, Alessia and Catherine aren't usually like that, once you know them you'll realise how nice they are",
"So they're lesbians",
"Yes, there's actually quite a few work here",
"Oh Ok",
Come on let's do some work and take your mind off things,

I stayed with Colette until lunch break and wished her a pleasant weekend,
I had to go out,
There was a shop that sold a small amount of vintage clothing,
I entered the shop and had a brouse around,
"Are you looking for anything in particular?",
"Yes Stockings",
"Over there",
I looked through the packs and found the ones I was looking for,
They were glossy, black seamed with a large and small diamond design on the heal,
They were £11-99 a pair,
"Hi,, if I buy two pairs how much?",
"I can give you them for £9 a pair, I can't go any lower",
"I bought them but couldn't believe I'd just spent £18 on two pairs of stockings",

I returned to work and caught up with my duties,
At Approximately four o'clock Alessia and Catherine came to see me,
"Susie you know Colette why don't you invite her to ours tomorrow?",
"I can ask but she doesn't really know us",
"Well ask her, she seems a nice girl and she's pretty",
"Ok I'll go and see her",

Colette was surprised to see me,
"Hi Susie",
"Alessia and Catherine came to see me before and would like you to come to our house tomorrow, will you come?",
"Thanks, Yeah I'll come but if I don't like it I'll leave",
"Don't worry I'll make sure everything's alright, you'll be fine and you'll get on with everyone",
"Yeah Ok",

Finishing time was near and I waited for Alessia and Catherine,
While waiting I looked at the packets of stockings hoping Lisa would appreciate a pair,
They were for Valentine's Day for dressing up as St Trinians schoolgirls,

The girls appeared so we could go home and I told them Colette was coming tomorrow,
"Susie we've been thinking, why don't you pretend she's a new girlfriend to wind Lisa up",
I laughed,
"There's no point Lisa would get her into bed before me,
Anyway girls go easy on Colette, she's a little shy",
"We will we promise, I bet anything she gets friendly with Louise",
"Well whatever just be kind to her",

We were going home and I was thinking if I'd done the right thing inviting Colette,
After all I was going to give the news of my promotion tonight,
That would mean one thing,
Alessia wanting to party and celebrate

One thing I knew was the atmosphere would change once I told everyone my News.
