Feb 7, 2026 - Learning after Shabbat
Tonight I ended Shabbat, washed my hair (because I hate not having clean hair) and went to class about Persian Jews throughout history. We didn't make it to the Arab conquest yet, that we will learn next week. I am glad that I learned some history with my Rabbis or I wouldn't have understood have seen the connection between Judaism and the history. It was interesting seeing history through the lens of the impact on Jewish culture and biblical events. I found the information fascinating, but also exciting that I could follow along with the history.

I have no profound thoughts, but I did play on Google Earth afterwards and found the Tomb of Queen Esther and Mordekhai in Iran. There is a synagogue build there with the Shield of David that is able to be seen from space. I a photo of the actual Google Earth search below. The picture I got wasn't as good as the one in the PowerPoint, but still cool.
