A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Not Too Much Time, But Enough I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I had enough time today to finish my timelines for my scriptwriting projects. It wasn’t all that hard to do. After all, I only had the last three movie scriptwriting projects to update their timelines, aka Skinless, The Lives of Billia and Helleni, and Calkin Cove. The bad news is that I still have another Short Story to write this month. I didn’t think I had another one this month because this contest is unpredictable. After all, this is the second month in a row that this contest is available to write for. There are usually two to four or more months before another contest comes up. What does that mean for my six scriptwriting projects? It means that I’m not quite ready to start writing my paragraph Scene Outlines for these twenty-three scripts just yet. Of course, I don’t have to write this second Short Story this month, but I’m going to do it anyway. After all, I can’t help myself. I like a challenge. Unfortunately, that means I will only be posting this blog entry in my ‘Only My Scriptwriting’ blog today. Tomorrow, I will return to my ‘Other Than Scriptwriting’ blog. I don’t like doing that for just one day, but I have no choice if I’m going to write a second Short Story this month. It’s all my fault. I should have noticed this second Short Story before now. I thought about this second Short Story over the weekend, and I tried to check out the possibilities of it on my cell phone, but I couldn’t do it. When I got home that day, I was going to check it out, but I forgot to do it. It was just a few minutes before starting this blog entry for today that I thought about checking it out again. Speaking of this blog entry, I got sidetracked again, writing about my second Short Story for this month. This blog entry should be about what I accomplished today for my six scriptwriting projects. I already wrote about it a little bit above, but not about them directly. It’s about time that I started doing that, right? Today was a day like Monday. Only Wednesdays are a little bit different from Mondays. The only thing that they have in common is the amount of time that I have to devote to my writing projects. That’s what happened today. I only had a couple of hours to work on my timeline spreadsheets for these six scriptwriting projects. Luckily, I only had my last three scriptwriting movie projects left to update my timelines to. The ‘Skinless’ scriptwriting project and the ‘Calkin Cove’ scriptwriting project were too hard to update. Unfortunately, I can write the same thing about my ‘The Lives of Billia and Helleni’ scriptwriting project. It was very complicated. The Lives of Billia and Helleni almost start in their early childhood, just before their tween years for Helleni, and their tween years for Billia. Then their lives expand to over a hundred years. Each Act represents a decade of their lives, except for their tween years and their teen years. That’s not all that they represent, though. Each Act also has two to four different years that the decade represents. Most of these representations represent three years, but there are a couple of two-year representations and one four-year representation. Usually, I don’t use years in my timelines, but this time I did. That’s why it took me so long to update this spreadsheet. |
