Sorry for the mess-up in the second Short Story for this month. I thought I was finished writing any other short stories this month. That’s why yesterday I returned to working on my timelines for the six scriptwriting projects I have been working on most of each month last year and in January of this year.

I didn’t think that I would be writing another Short Story this month. After all, this contest is supposed to have a new prompt every month, but it hasn’t for several years. Does this mean all of us will start getting one every month, even me? Whether it’s coming back monthly or not, there is a second Short Story this month.

When I luckily discovered I needed to write a second Short Story this month, it didn’t take me long to remember several Short Story possibilities that I could write for this prompt. Of all the others I could have chosen, I chose this one because of the connection to an upcoming scriptwriting project I will be starting sooner or later, ‘KOVA, aka The Kova.’

I tried something like this with my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, but it didn’t turn out too well. Hopefully, these short stories will turn out better. Only one way to know, and that’s to start writing them. I don’t know if I will continue writing them after this one, but I might. It will probably depend on how well this one is received.

That’s enough about yesterday and why I’m writing this Short Story. Now it’s time to write about how much I got written for this second Short Story for this month. I got a lot accomplished today on this Short Story. Not only did I finish writing the setup for it, but I also got the first Section/Part of it written today.

Not only did I finish the setup and the first Part/Section for this second Short Story, but I also wrote an introduction explaining this scriptwriting project that will appear at the beginning of each Short Story, script, etc. It’s like the scrolling that appears at the beginning of the Star Wars movies. Only it isn’t scrolling.

What does all this mean for this second Short Story for this month? It means that I still have nine more Sections/Parts to write before I finish writing this Short Story. Normally, I would be writing about getting it finished by the end of this week, aka Friday, but since tomorrow is Friday, I know that it’s going to happen.

Even if I started it yesterday, it’s very unlikely that I would get it finished by tomorrow. If I’m lucky, I may get another two or three Parts/Sections written before I return to work for my two twelve-hour shifts this weekend. Hopefully, I will get enough of it written by this weekend, so it won’t take me all weekend to finish writing it.
