Sunlight: "The Gift of Illumination"
How bright the day when the sun we see!
The colors of cloth rugs emote.
New birth of hope as truly free
in Truest Word, that ancients wrote.
There must be some day, truest light
when Earth has been made new for aye.
The time we'll see with all made right,
ruled by One Lord in The Lasting Day.
An owl, so wise, calls out to Man,
"Be ye now true, while bent on war?"
"Great God, Who made us by Your Plan,
remove from us these weapons far."
While sun still shines illumine minds,
that wisdom may prevail in hearts.
Though sun we see, the more it finds
as shining to the darkest parts.
When sunlight dims the richness fades
of yellows, reds, blues, even blacks.
Hear The Maker of the sun, He bades,
"Believe Christ's Merits pay your lacks."
