Taking a Shower
I was finally able to take a shower (and bath) for the first time after getting my staples out on Monday. My doctor wanted to make sure that my the holes from the staples had scabbed over before I got my knee wet.

I feel a whole lot better now. I was feeling old and dirty. The fact that my knee was constantly throbbing makes me feel 50% older than I really am -- having greasy hair just increased the feeling of feeling older.

Now, I am better although my knee does throb I at least am clean. I can at least look my age even though I cannot walk very well and my limp is a lot worse than it normally is (as I already suffer from cerebral palsy on my right side).

Life is good at the moment. The knee is healing and I am doing all that I can to get the range of motion (ROM) back to normal. I am also trying my hardest to get to the point where I can sit on the floor and play with my daughter. As well as sit long enough to help my son with his homework and read a book. I love my children but during my time of recovery I feel like I have missed too much of their life. Three weeks may not seem like a long time but when my daughter is only 9 months it seems like a lifetime.
