Somebody Read !!!
I am so lonely I had my husband watch a few shows on tv in our bedroom with us because it is too hard for me to sit in a chair for too long. I keep asking my friends to come over and visit me but they have families of their own and cannot find the time to come by and visit me. Either that or they are afraid of my gentle friendly giant white dog we call Snowball. Yeah she can be intimidating at times but she means no harm -- she is just a great greeter and enjoys company.

Today was a good day although I would like to take off the brace for a few minutes a day. I think I would have rather had a cast up to the top of my thighs because then I would not be so tempted to just rip the thing off my leg.

As it is I only took off the brace once so I could put on a new sock that is a little thincker because my foot would freeze at night and there was no way to warm it up.

I am really trying hard to obey my doctor's orders. I did the last time around although I think he was not taking into account my pre-existing cerebral palsy (physical disability) effecting that side, the right side, of my body. My bones seem to take longer to heal although the skin heals pretty fast.

Anyway, I am doing great and if this continuation of the healing process keeps up before no time I will be skating again -- not until next Fall at the earliest. I did promise my son that I would take him to the roller rink on his birthday in March but yes I am going to stay off the skates and the rink in general.

My staples come out on March 5th and the x-rays on the same day. Hope and pray for the best for me. This has been a very hard process for me. The only other thing I have ever broken in my life is my left pinkie. I have had about 5 previous surgeries on the right leg though to length the tendons so I could walk better but those were never quite as painful as this one.

I am sorry if I repeat myself sometimes but I am sure that there are people whom do not have the time to read my whole journal but want to get a ligist of how one recovers from such an accident. Maybe? Or Maybe not? Then again if you are not interested then why have you read to this point!
