Monday's Appointment

Monday's appointment went well. The doctor did end up taking off the old fiberglass cast, which my son ended up keeping. He found that my heel was being rubbed by the cast and there was a redness where it was rubbing probably due to not enough padding or the padding wearing low. He also found some redness at the top on my thigh where the cast was cutting into my leg and causing more redness.

He then looked at my leg another ten seconds before going off to get his nurse who helped him in re-casting my leg again. Same fiberglass cast, same off-white color...Only thing different was that he made it shorter at the top. So, I guess that means there is less to lug around.

My next appointment is on Wednesday 4/30 where he will take another x-ray to make sure everything is healing the proper way and then send me on my way if it is not healed all the way through. Joy, what joy.

Same thing, just different day! I am ready for him to say let's start therapy or an exercise program.
