Baking & Mini stuff...
Well, this is the first week off from work. It's been a hell of week. While I'm glad not to go to work and have the life sucked out of me because I'm as big as house, it's still been draining.

Anyhoo...I've some cooking and baking, stuff which I've neglected in the past for fast food and microwave meals. Yesterday I cooked Brent's grandmother's meatball receipe. It turned out pretty good too. hehe. Brent liked them.

I went to the bookstore to walk around a little bit and procured a couple of books (which I'll give product reviews on when I finish.)

On the list:

The Dark Side of Christian History
A Woman in Berlin
Get Published
Life Beyond
Men Love & Sex - because as usual, Brent still continues to baffle me. He showed no interest in going to my last appt, which okay, whatever, I said he "didn't" have to come, but when the doctor told me "sorry, your body is not ready for induction next week. Go home and wait a week," I was very disappointed and upset. So I went home very disappointed and upset and sulked. He's like "What's wrong?" Sigh... How can I explain to him that I'm upset - disappointed, let down, bummed? I really can't. He's got the "I gotta' solve it all now" thing going on - times 10 because he's a police officer to boot - so I said, "Give me a couple of minutes to talk about it." He freaked out, thinking something was seriously wrong, which there wasn't. Okay, so maybe I could have handled it better, but I didn't expect that reaction. I thought he'd give me 20 minutes and we could talk about. We worked it out, but geez, I was just blown by his reaction. It was unexpected. If you aren't going to show interest in going to a doctor's appt with and be supportive about it, then cut me some slack as I attempt to deal with my feelings on my own. That's how I saw it. I don't know - maybe it was a case of saything one thing and meaning another (which I've been accused of before in the past, so now I'm very upfront with him) When he asks, "What do you want for your birthday," I say: "Flowers, Gift card from Bath & Body." No more suprise me or "nothing" because nothing gets me nothing and surprise me gets me a birthday card and nothing. Anyway, my next goal is to get Brent to read some of this stuff. Not that he needs a lot of work, but it sure would be nice to have him shift out of "police" mode when he comes home.

Thanks for listening to that rant. Sigh...

As far as writing is coming along, ACROSS THE FICKLE WINDS OF HISTORY is shaping up. I have the formatting down for Lulu and now we're just working on the cover. The front cover is finally finished and hopefully soon, I'll can send it to Lulu.

THE WOLF'S TORMENT is shaping up. I've been rearranging chapters, POV Narration, and working on my last continuty edit. I'm up to the point where Theresa gives birth. If all goes well, I'll be able to submit to IUniverse before the end of the month.

While I'm not one to send around personal quizes, I sent one around the other day to good friends here at WDC. Then I noticed the responses posted in a couple of blogs. I said, "Damn, that's a good idea." Anyway here's a mini quiz so as not to "blog" you down...
