My poems for the 21 days of poetry. |
Legend of the Specter Train The tale has been shared by many, passing from friend to friend And with it comes the probing, that never seems to end. Some may call it a legend and only the town will refrain Knowing the moon brings the rhythm of the specter train. Neighbors gather in clusters, surrounding the line on the street Nodding their heads in approval, in timing to the beat. The send off is grandiose, a celebration this town knows For it is on this night, when the moon is full that the specter train goes. So listen very closely, on a luminous starry night Knowing the moon brings the rhythm Of the specter train in sight. |
