Little Jace Has Arrived

Little Jace Daniel has arrived!

He said hello to the world at 1:38 pm CST. To be sure, he tried his best to come out four weeks ago much to Mommy's chagrin.  Since our local hospital was unable to handle any baby born at 32 weeks, our youngest was transported two and a half hours away to a hospital capable of caring for an early arrival.  Val spent the next two weeks in bed with a meager half hour respite each day when they allowed her to use a wheelchair.  But Jace settled down, and everything worked out.

Even arriving three weeks early, Jace weighed in at 6 lbs, 11 ozs, and a healthy set of lungs.  Mom and son are doing great.  By the time we arrived about six hours later, he had already eaten and taken care of business, which I'm told is a very good thing.  They expect to be released later today. 

So a few pics--yeah, I have lots more, but I'll practice a little moderation.
