| FORM: SARABAND SONNET TEMPER TANTRUM Here come the tears, the water works, Screaming, teeming with emotion. Being a kid does have its perks. When there is something that I want, And I don’t get it right away, My wailing carries some cache, Without a reprieve or détente. Desperate to avoid a scene, You try to stop the commotion, Lest someone try and intervene I prepare another reprise, While you think you have heard the worst. I wonder what will give way first, Your patience or my screeching cries? |
