The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow |
Jamál (Beauty), 7 Masá’il (Questions), 168 BE – Sunday, December 18, 2011 about 4:20 PM Pacific Time Mom’s medication is working fairly well right now. She seems to be getting back to her old self. Anyway, she is talking about doing housework, which does not frighten me; however, she also wants to start walking without her walker. She does not understand that she needs it for balance. Mom just said she walked to the kitchen without her walker. I am not sure that is true because I did not hear her getting up. Mom usually has difficulties getting up off the couch and needs help. Still the idea that she thinks she walked without the walker scares me because it means she will leave the walker behind when she gets up at night. I am not sure what I can do about that, except not sleep. I do not sleep well anyway. I rest when I do get to sleep, but going to sleep that is the problem for me. Now I have Mom getting up in the middle of the night and walking to the bathroom or another part of the house without her walker. The only thing I can do is say a prayer of protection and hope Mom sleeps through the night. Sometimes she does and sometimes she spends the night crying for her parents. When she cries she does not get up because I am the one who gets up to see what she is crying about (this is one reason it is difficult for me to sleep). I guess I will post this and check the kitchen to see if she did take a dish in there. |
