Missouri Weather
Ok, I guess every location lays claim to "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute!" That sure fits Missouri on this fine, finally winter day.
There's no doubt that this winter has been more than mild so far in this south-central Missouri location. But Ol' Man Winter couldn't let January pass without freezing the hair on the dog and then blowing it off. Yesterday, it was 58 degrees without a cloud in the sky. I even had to chase a fly down in the house. Today, there's snow and ice on the ground, and the high is only expected to be 24 with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.
I'm quite sure I prefer a more gradual approach to winter. Since it will take several hours to warm the shop up to a working temperature, I'll stay in the office, which is more easily heated, and play ... uh, work on the computer. I DO have estimates to complete.
Now if we'd just get more snow than ice, I'd be ecstatic. About two feet should do me nicely. (C'mon, I moved here from Maine.) Besides feeding my mini-sadistic nature, I rather enjoy watching folks around here try to get around in three or more inches of snow.
Guess I better get that work done. All y'all enjoy your day. I will.
