| Prompt: Joy asked how our parents life's stories affect us. I think our parents life stories do affect us. Mom was always poor when she was a kid and said she would never marry a farmer. She married my father who was in the Air Force. My husband works on starters and alternators off vehicles and said he had wanted to be a farmer. I told him I didn't want to wait to see how the crops would do all year. I wanted a weekly pay check. Seeing my grandparents and living with them, I am glad mu husband never became a farmer. We have a farm now inherited from his father but someone else farms it. Dad came from a big family of eight kids and he and Mom didn't want a lot of kids. My husband and I didn't want a lot of kids. Dad was in the Air Force. I almost married a guy in the Marines but I didn't want to travel and move a lot so I am glad I didn't marry that guy for a thousand other reasons!
