Day 67: Supper

“Oh, there you are,” said Grisylde. “I was starting to wonder when you’d finally wake up. You must have been pretty exhausted. Well, anyway, as you can see, we have some work to do.”


I made way as she carried the rabbits into the house.


“We’ll be having rabbit for supper. I also have some carrots, onion, and potatoes we can cut up to go with it.”


She handed me a knife and took one herself.


“Let’s get these cleaned up and then cut up the vegetables.”

I helped her to get the rabbits ready and then to cut up the vegetables. We mixed them into the same container and then started cooking them.
