I was a ken on first aid right from the age of twelve, and I joined the cadets of the Saint John's Ambulance in home town in Scotland. Later when I moved to another town I joined Saint Andrews Ambulance, and then to England and joined the Red Cross which led me to a job in the college as a support for special needs students.
