A blog of no uncertain musings. What goes on in my mind is often a source of wonder to me. |
Wow! Almost two years since I last posted. I really have been out of the loop. My apologies--although my wife has retired, I'm still self-employed and LOVE what I do. But I've let that passion for my work overcome my passion for writing, and for Writing.Com. They (whoever they are) say that it takes upwards of 30 days to make a habit permanent. So I'm going to try and re-kindle that passion for writing, and a more involved presence on Writing.Com. That said, I'll add my nickle to the political rhetoric of the past two years. ![]() Since I remarried and moved to another town, I've keep my woodworking shop in its original location resulting in a 40 minute drive to work each day. I went to bed last night with far too many state election results that were "too close to call." I figured I'd hear the results immediately upon rising at 5 am. On my drive to work I listen to two different radio stations (one has a much shorter range). I heard NOTHING about the election. First time in many, many months I heard nothing about any candidate, issue, or what-have-you. Go figure! I had to get online at the shop to find out Donald Trump won. I have to say I was very impressed with his victory speech. Very tame, considering previous speeches. Time to salute the flag and move on smartly. Indeed, together we ALL can make America great. |
